    There are many theories in Investing ... Value Investing... Turn around Stories...Growth picks ete etc All are equally good, shall work at times, on few stocks...

    But propagating a passive way of buying and holding with a lOng term view and SIP on high and low to average out, is the best strategy is totally dumb ...

    Few discuss and proclaim that they are Looong term investors... In fact we all have to observe a company , if interested making your entry and with open mind following up its performance , pyramiding up our position along .... If the story goes on we never need to selll... If there is deterioration we can hope for better and still hold or dump....

    I had no hesitation to exit from Lupin few months back...

    Because it has yielded me good money , should I stay put at its well and ill ...nah it is not my wife ...

    @bholuji You may have your reasons...

    This table gives in a nutshell last 10 years annul sales and Sales growth, PAT , Profit Margin and Margin Growth . last few Quarters results…

    A fairprice based on historical valuations and a Target Price based on the hypothesis that Expected Returns are an extrapolation of what had been achieved historically.

    Actually I have started a thread on value investing where I am writing about select stocks. I was planning to write about Lupin there and why it makes sense to buy Lupin. Tomorrow I would share my views. Maybe you can write why you sold it ? It is always nice when you have somebody shares a logical counter argument which is based on facts. I am sure the forum members will like this.

    @BombayBoy

    Patanjali to your rescue then I suppose.

    Indian industry painted in '50 shades of red'... Be it banking, metals, infrastructure, sin companies etc etc with more entering ( now pharma with bad medicine and MFI's) and shades shifting to darker too. Will this be positive for paints?
