SJVN reports 8% fall in Q2 net profit

Total income of the company decreased by 5.81% at Rs 944.50 crore for the quarter under review

SJVN has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2016.

The company has reported 7.67% fall in its net profit at Rs 521.87 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 565.24 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 5.81% at Rs 944.50 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 1002.75 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

SJVN is a joint venture between the Central government and Himachal Pradesh state government. The company owns and operates India’s largest 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh.

Jaypee Infratech has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2016.

The company has reported a net loss of Rs 131.77 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to net loss of Rs 169.14 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has decreased by 44.98% to Rs 187.20 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 340.21 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Strides Shasun to acquire 100% shareholding in Perrigo API India

Strides Shasun has signed definitive agreements to acquire the entire shareholding in Perrigo API India for Rs 100 crore. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and expected to be closed by December 31, 2016. With this acquisition, the company bring into its fold a US FDA approved API facility designed to handle multipurpose small batch productions. Meanwhile, Perrigo parent or affiliates will continue to source few products from the facility under a long term supply agreement.

Strides Shasun (formerly known as Strides Arcolab) is engaged in manufacturing, sale and export of pharmaceutical products. It offers general tablets, hard gelatin and soft gelatin capsules, sachets, potent drugs and and semi-solids.
