Which industry will be able to survive in economic slowdown?

Indian Stock Market Indices are at 18 months low. Again we are at the same point where we had started after BJP victory. RBS has warned about global depression. Some large cap stocks are also at 52 weeks low. Chinese economy is done. If we fall 10-15% more from here I think there will not be any doubt about the situation.

Although I am personally very bullish on India but my question here is if economic slowdown shows its true ugly face, followed by a bear run, which industry will be able to remain unaffected or less affected and which will be the most ?

guruji i think discretionary spending sector would be good during slowdown in china and u.s.

 

RIL ,Looks of a winner.The stock at nearly 52 weeks high,when global markets including India are bleeding.Happy days are here again, for RIL share holders.The stock with the highest weightage in my present portfolio and may prove to be stock of the year of 2016 ,in large cap universe NIFTY or Sensex.

e-govn and liquor also good as domestic themes. IT industry i dont know really.

The ones that'll survive are beyond you and me in the unicorn club.

There was a comedy program on bindass - sab ki lagegi. Reminds me of that.

Finally the markets are catching up with the reality after all the hype of achche din aa gaye.
