Portfolio loss in this market fall 2016.

very long term is some how i dont like ...so many innocent investors affected in " silver line and satyam comuters"
so i want to search like " TVS Motor , suven, everedy " like that multibaggeirs ....

profit booking in short term is my best weapon sir....

 

Today My Portfolio is raise + 3.43 % & my over all portfolio loss is reduced to - 8.09 %

Arrow coated in upper circuit today after falling down for too many days. Good relief rally. Anyway I can't sell now as my buy price is high. Interim Divident record date is 18 th Feb. Might see some upmove till that if market is supportive..

yes sir , i am full trader and Investor in stock market , previously i worked in several stock brokings , mostly my trading is at options segment , day trading and positional in options and stocks also ....
i am 70 % Trader Avatar and 30 % Investor Avatar sir....

Thanks sir for your kind reply. I am an Engg. professional with interest in equity markets. I also wanted to become a full time investor/trader. But family not supportive. Advising me to quit the markets as they feel it is very dangerous. I have lost some money only in my initial stages in 2010. But now things are going good. Learnt from my mistakes.

 

Made some Handsome profits from ACPL for past two days in intraday.

 

@Warrenbuff77 ji , please dont leave your job , for equity delivery basis trading no need to leave job , build good trading and investment plan and according to stock price do buy and sell as side business , if you are a day trading expert Full time is useful and more over double than your salary earning in equity in consistency in 2 years is your qualification to leave your job , market is always good , news papers create bad name imposed on market , ex : if market fall 200 points in a day news papers write 3 lakh crore rupees evaporate investors money in stock market , but other investors or traders get those 3 lakh crore rupees , but they dont write in news papers

I understand your words fully. Btw, I am not qualified to be in full time trading as i dont qualify the criteria which you mentioned above.
As you wrote, media & newspapers does their best in panicking the retailer's. Whenever the market falls, they write as sensex tanks 800 points, bear market phase, fresh 52 week low all these. End of the day, market is Good. All the best sir.

Almost 2/3 of Yesterday's gain in my portfolio has gone by today only ... I am inline with Rama sir. Booking profit at the right time is the key in the market. I have seen few stocks in my portfolio was in profit may in December 2015. Hoping for more profit, now all of them are in loss by 10-15%.

 

How many people are still in profit after yesterday's fall? What is the appx %age wrt large, mid and small caps?

i sold yesterday some stocks those are bought at low level and again i add some cash balance , in those stocks tata global and NMDC give more than 5 % return in 2 days ...so my old buying average will be reduced .....

profit taking is my best weapon ....
