My long term story is L&T Finance Holdings - It will be a Bajaj finance if you keep it for minimum 20 years.keep it for your grand children without disturbing it. Parent company is strong and we know its story.

    All the best !!!

I am tech savvy and work in technology field, so I feel that technology has a bright future. IoT esp. will redefine the way we live. Exceptional changes are going to happen in auto space with new emission norms, which will lead to disruption in auto ancillaries and auto parts space. Other disruption will be internet connectivity to all in the future, thereby people will consume heavy audio visual content. Content is king in this space, so content creating/distribution companies are going to gain.

By bets would be something like Tata Elxsi (or any other IoT product company which will list in the future), Eros/Shemaroo.

@w4wealth IoT is still a relatively new technology. Tata Elxsi is a good IoT bet. I expect more product companies to come up. Actually, Bosch will be another company to watch out for. I know that they are investing and contributing in the IoT standardization team.

Will also bet on Water Treatment companies.....Water crisis will be the major problem in Asia going forward. These companies will also emerge...I see Va Tech Wabag as of now and more to follow....I guess ITD Cementation is also there but I don't follow it so closely...

Thanks for bringing up this topic!.. I had the same query.

    Another addition to the list:

I believe Power Sector for India will be back in focus. With the huge demand (Not only in Generation, but also transmission & Distribution) this will be a great sector!.

Need to figure out if it should be pure play generation companies, financing outfits or the ancillaries. Currently My pick is REC and PFC. REC is trading at 055 BV/Share @ Rs 160/-. Believe REC has a long way to go in terms of funding this entire sector esp. the PSU's. Renewables focus and financing is going to be another 10 year story. These stocks are at their lowest in the last 5 years and BV has increased at a CAGR of 15%.

The current dividend yield is 6.5% and will hold this for another 10 years. My prediction is that REC will have a BV of close to 650-700 by 2020 - 2021. This is for my kids!

Do you know any broker that will allow you to buy stocks in a SIP mode - I understand that Zerodha was planning something similar to this. Sharekhan as well I guess..
