We maintain Buy rating on Aurobindo Pharma (APL) with a target price of Rs1,720
(earlier Rs1,380) based on 17xMarch’17E EPS of Rs101.0. APL’s unit IV injectable
unit and unit VII SEZ oral dosage formulation units were recently inspected by US
FDA and no major observations were made in form 483. APL achieved strong
growth of in US formulation segment and in Europe & RoW due to amalgamation
of the acquired Actavis and Natrol businesses. Entry into specialised segments of
injectable and complex molecules will help improve margins. Over 90% of the
company’s ANDAs are backed by own DMFs. APL is among our top picks in the
pharma sector.
