    FIIs trim stake in Orient Green Power to 3.31% in Q2FY16

    DIIs have reduced their shareholding in the company by 2 basis points to 5.56 percent at the end of September 2015 quarter

    Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have reduced their stake in Orient Green Power Company by 33 basis points to 3.31 percent in Q2FY16 as against 3.64 percent in Q1FY16. Moreover, the domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have reduced their shareholding in the company by 2 basis points to 5.56 percent at the end of September 2015 quarter from 5.58 percent as on June 30, 2015.

    Meanwhile, non institutions were holding 16.13 percent stake at the end of September 2015 quarter, up 35 basis points from 15.78 percent as on Jun 30, 2015, while the corporate bodies were holding 7.34 percent stake at the end of September 2015 quarter, down 83 basis points from 8.17 percent as on June 30, 2015. Further, the promoters’ shareholding was unchanged at 75 percent at the end of September 2015.

    Orient Green Power is the largest independent operator and developer of renewable energy power plants in the country based on aggregate installed capacity. The company’s portfolio currently includes biomass, biogas, wind energy and small hydroelectric projects at various stages of development.
