Found it to be an okay pick, if supply demand gap continues and with no demand decline expecting it to be 2x in 3 years time atleast, as available in forum play is based on Supply demand gap, Deleveraging, Operating leverage and expansion in upcycle
Hope things work out well for them. I have invested and have positive expectations. One thing to note that they are positioned themselves in very high level with very less competition. The sector is very capex intensive and developing a good network of parks takes time.
Results of most sugar companies were bad.
Dhampur Sugar and Dwarikesh were surprisingly much lower than expected.
Balrampur is expected to be better than others.
Govt has successfully killed a sector which is globally competitive, environment friendly and also helping import substitution (petrol) !!
Has anyone analyzed today’s result, there is an exceptional gain of around 7000cr, which actually spiked the profit. However, following notes in the statements creates confusion that, Is it a notional adjustment or a real gain of 7000cr on the books. Excerpts from today’s result
Amit Sheth is promising the moon while zero followup on execution from last many qtrs.
In each new concall he comes up with something novel to lure investors.
For instance, during q2 concall last year he talked about home lighting segment possibilities and about them doing some tieups with other home decor companies to come up with common retail showrooms. Zero followup and execution.
They have been talking about railways as a huge growth driver from past few years which is yet to be seen.
Now they came up with this ‘green’ lighting new tech during q4 concall…really?
Not very satisfying answers on any real questions on calls including on receivables etc.
Many VPers in the past have raised questions about their financial practices and real on ground presence several times on the thread.
So many other points i can mention on past promises undelivered…while they keep talking about new stuff in every other concall.
I don’t know if they are as shady as this all sounds, but this ain’t how a good mgmt really works.
Poor results. I am not actively following this so I’m not sure if this was expected.
Not the numbers expected for a company trading at 40 PE. Also, they had given a guidance of 1600 Cr by 2028-29 which now looks too aggressive
Since company imports 75% of its products from Bangladesh (as per Crisil credit rating report mentioned in the earlier post), what could be the impact of Bangladesh unrest on this company? Folks who are invested in the company can respond
PE will come to 70 minimum looking at the fall post which PEG becomes lucrative
Ideally on technical world it requires consolidation atleast for a quarter than upmove will be stable.

I don’t think 20-25% growth, they are achieved? This space for 10-12% I seen yet.so their valuation now I don’t understand.also they are not alone in this space or not market leader or don’t have any pricing power, so how they are still at 90 time PE. or europe or America they are not base customer it was totally fake narrative. Pardon me if I am wrong here.
