You have only highlighted certain part of concall. If you are following the company, they have always maintained that their 1.5 B USD aspiration has inorganic growth backed in as well. Recently they absorbed around 300 engineers from Forvia as part of a 45M Euro deal. Now they are not looking for any auto related acquisitions in Europe. The target is medtech in US now. Yes 1.5B USD is ambitious but not completely ruled out. Problem with LTTS off late is they are taking two steps forward and one step backward. They were doing well on margin and revenue front before they acquired SWC. They had to compromise on margin due to that. Now due to reorganizing in three verticals, they are again compromising on margin and you will see EBIT margin mostly going below 16% in first two quarters of FY25. So they have compromised on margins for growth in last two years which market has not taken kindly. In fact, in Q4FY24 they did growth 5.1 QoQ in CC which is really good but margin guidance did not go well with market and stock has been on downturn since then.

Results are too good., with asset value at 14k cr and reserves at 9k cr. Offshore visibility and global disruption atleast going to stay for a while., isn’t this no brainer investment at this stage., or am I missing anything here…

- Order book executable by H1 FY2025 is 75 cr.
- Growth of less then 30% by sep 2024. After that sept to March 2025 growth of 50%.
- Can maintain similar EBIDTA Margins.
- Direct production vs service contracts is 35% and 65%. By March 2025 it will move to 45%.
- PAT Margin can be 30%.
- Bench expansion: June/ July recruitment to meet demand in august/September. Looking at strategic partnerships.
- In organic growth: Working with advisors, close to potential partnership.
- Government support: 30% minimum incentive based on expenditure, max of 300 million INR. Looking for partnership to materialize on that. Clarity is required from government to understand incentives. Mostly fresh contracts will fall in it.
- One client have stress and agreed to instalments for 15cr. Temporary requirement due to market downside in North America. Steady state receivables will be 90 to 180 days.
- To maintain margin, going to global market. Netfix, Amazon cut cost to do that maintain high quality they have to come to India. US is 500 to 600 USD per day. India is 150 USD per day. There is opportunity.
- GST refund (5 cr.) has to come back is in other current access.
- Net working capital is 60 days including all.

In the meantime HDFC bank has been making money even after merger (isn’t it). Bank is run by smart people and I’ll trust them to figure out a way to make even more money.

HDFC Bank’s margins are too low to justify the valuation. Due to merger costs are high and no benefit to sales or operational efficiencies. This merger may go down as a one of the biggest corporate mistakes.

The World in a Grain, Vince Beiser, 2018 – I expected this book to be extremely dry read but it was quite relatable and entertaining. The premise of the book is that sand is in everything we use everyday, from roads, buildings, glass, ceramics, PV cells, microchips or are used in manufacturing like in the process of casting (silica crucibles in casting metals). It goes deep into the history, politics, ecology of sand while also touching upon its unique properties that make it so versatile a product
