Seeking advice on mutual fund selection (02-05-2024)
Hello 
I have tried beating the market for a long time and given up!
I want to invest in equity (flexi cap) and balanced advantage mutual funds. One fund I am already investing in is PPFAS Flexi cap.
I am looking for another fund as distinct and transparent, but haven’t found any!
Things I feel are important while selecting equity mutual fund
- Fund sticking to doing what the stated objective is
- Relatively low expense ratio and portfolio turnover
- A reasonable track record of capturing the upside while limiting downside compared to benchmark
Request experience forum members to guide on what other criteria need to be considered (also guide me on whether criteria I have stated are relevant) for equity (flexi cap) and also for balanced advantage funds.
Would be great if you can suggest a couple of funds in both categories that you like along with the reasons for liking them.

It’s just a matter of survival . I don’t think info edge will be able to pull through with jeevansathi and shaadi.com also doesn’t look too good

Just made a decent investment in kotak today after the fall, will invest more there if there is a further significant fall(highly unlikely)or after the dust settles ,it can be a good way to diversify my invesments in banks.Plus it has broken a mental support of 1600 which might be covered in short covering or it could even go to a pe of 15 at which hdfc traded a few days back.
