I initiated a small position in AVL when it was trading around 800 levels and recently exited. My primary concern with the company revolves around corporate governance and the ongoing trend of the Sinha family members selling their shares.
I believe this could be attributed to the rich valuations at which the stock is trading. However, it does shake my confidence in maintaining a long-term investment in this company.
Given that they operate in a fairly mature industry and in a region that may not attract the interest of giants like Reliance or Croma anytime soon, it is a decent bet in the near term.

Delta Corp – A huge but risky opportunity (09-04-2024)
I guess Delta is at a critical juncture… and lot of things are not in thier hands…
- I think they have resigned to the fact they cannot grow thier gaming operation… license for more casinos is not forthcoming … they have also sold thier Nepal casino and are not looking at more options except Daman… which is on limbo for a long time
- GST is a issue they will come out of and the current Gaming business generates good cash…
- they are looking to deploy this Cash in real estate and I think they can do well …but again this has to play out
- Online gaming is a optionality… it can generate good valuations if all goes well…
I would buy below 100 with lot of patience as real estate play will take 5-7 years to play out…
Srivari Spices and Foods Limited (09-04-2024)
The stock has seen a sharp runup, from 270-80 level to 370-80 level. Is it justified?
In H1 Sep,23; the company did 30 crores topline with 2.6 crores net profit.
Later, the company declared in Nov. 23 that they are doing almost 8 crores of monthly sales with 20+ percentage margin. Lately the company also declared placement of its products in Reliance retail, balaji grand bazaar, SOLV, Ushodaya etc. Keeping these development in mind, we can estimate [purely my estimate] a topline of 80 crores with around 7-8 crores net profit. Thus, today the company is being traded at 30 times p/e based on estimated 2023-24 earning per share.
In Q1, the company is planning to introduce healthy unrefined oil. Thus, even the current financial year growth plans of the company remains intact, and a price earning ratio of 30 for such a fast growing company is not exorbitant.

Oil India- has its time come? (09-04-2024)
Ok…So i am trying my hands on a giving an opinion, Its a general opinion and may not help in identifying pick among PSU Vs PVT names ! i am not an expert and certainly new to equity investment.
My views depend on experiences with.
1.The solar installations as an owner at the establishment where i work.
2.Hydrogen story and ESG projects.
Back then in 2019 the solar space(let say renewables or Electric Auto) started to boil, come 2023 i saw solar EPC contractors order book growing10X and loads of startup trying their hands on electric Auto .Together they made scooters a reality and lot of EV sceptics accepted and drove scooters. Hydrogen story in 2023 is seeing governments(mostly germany & India, some others at an extent) push to usher into new energy+chemical era.
The point is true to the extent that The gases-oil derivatives-petrochemicals-polymers are building blocks to modern daily use items starting from chemicals to plastics to pharma for households and gases to oil derivatives to petro chemicals for industries.(i mean any industrial product we can touch or think. 90% of household or industrial inputs would come out having an oil byproduct)
But i think the world is working towards making oil chemicals without oil(some i knew methanol, ammonia, peroxide, olefins) from hydrogen.so basically if that renewable chemical things happen…I think the world will go on without oil. (Shell,bp,Total, adnoc, aramco,KOC,NIOC,QOC …etc. would not want anyone to think the same though)
Now, to the point. As Electricity is one of the major cost component for any manufacturing/processing industry hence as the solar electricity costs drops(today its 5.35 Rs./Kwh) they all will benefit. PSU have been actively installing solar/wind in past and now they are investing in hydrogen. PSU as per me have strength at Gas distribution/ Piped oil transportation over pvt players. Some PSU have gave 2X in just 2 year(for ex. OIL India)
I’d request @1957 for his view, if any, why PSU can still rise quicker then Tata,Adani,RIIL or L&T ?
SJS Enterprises Ltd (09-04-2024)
@omsingla Ashish kacholiya has sold most of his stake. He may hold less than 1% or fully exited. Company is not executing according to the guidance. In Q1 and Q2 company margin got decreased and they said it’s due to acquisition impact but they have indicated earlier. Need to see how company matches the guidance.

Wockhardt: an NiCE story (09-04-2024)
Putting a link to this post from another thread here. There is some relevance to the Wocky story. Seems veeeerrrry far away though – even relative to Wocky’s 5222.

Any thoughts on the above news?
Sunteck Realty – Quality Real Estate Company (09-04-2024)
Yes, Rinkesh. That’s correct. He now owns only 2.2% of the company, a significant reduction from the initial 9.9% investment. I’ve watched the investment video you mentioned, and I was interested in understanding what prompted the shift in his Sunteck thesis if he mentioned it anywhere. He has also significantly reduced his investment in Rain, so perhaps it’s related to market trends rather than specific stocks.
Cupid Ltd – Helping the world play safe! (09-04-2024)
Did the promoter foresee all this and sold out the company at 1 /10 th the valuations. Anyone who has a better explanation
