Congrats for starting your direct stocks journey! Seem to be solid businesses and you’ve good allocation to these name. Good start!
You may want to consider some names in consumption (not FMCG but sectors such as household appliances, tourism, etc) as I believe Indian household discretionary spending will increase over period of time.
Came across this fascinating video on this topic.
Btw, I happen to hold Kotak Bank with similar thesis on subs although now am not so sure of optionality of listing them separately as it seems to be merger seasons!

Hindware Home Innovation Ltd on to rapid growth post demerger? (30-03-2024)
Let’s pray the later is lot sooner than we think
Or else it wont take long for havels to take away heir market share
Since they are expanding with huge share in Kitchen ware market
Infact they appointed Inflame for OTG and Chimney contract manufacturing
I feel the moat they have is being taken by them lightly
Just companre Cera and Hindware
How they have diverged from their main business to other business just because its Lucrative
Are bhai lucrative to Bulb lights bhi hee abhi fans k sath woh bhi banaoge kya? This is for a company whose sole purpose should have been selling chimney and kitchen tops
Imho if you want to play Hindware better to go with Inflame, the prudent capital allocation there will ensure that your capital is deployed properly
And if by chance havels takes over Hindware in market share inflame has win win situation for both cleints
Its like heads i win, tails i win stype of situation

Hindware Home Innovation Ltd on to rapid growth post demerger? (30-03-2024)
I just started researching about this company. Hindware is a great brand. No doubt. I do think that management will realise about diworsification sooner or later. But what really dampens my enthusiasm is their working capital management. Unsustainable quick ratio, high debt. Are they using long term borrowings for working capital. Can they pay principal when they have to? Will cash flows be good enough at that time ? etc. I understand that if everything is fine such brands won’t be at such low valuations(p/s). Feel free to counter. Thank you.
Smallcap momentum portfolio (30-03-2024)
A naive doubt. Then how come a 3 month old stock is in the results if the look back period is more than 3 months? It should not have appeared.

@ChaitanyaC Good point that needs further explanation. I am not looking at this as application of discretion.
- My look back periods are 6m and 1y. This does not fulfil both.
- In my sheet, I use the latest available date for look back. If 1y look back is not available, I take a date that is closer than this. Similarly, for 6m.
- In the case of DOMS, the latest available data is for 3 months only. When I take this, in effect I am comparing a 3m performance with a 6m / 1y performance of other stocks.
- May pf managers actually don’t take into consideration stocks that are less than a particular look back period.
Fyi, SIGNATURE just makes the 6m cut; otherwise, that would also have been removed.

So some discretion exists, which as far as we can tell will not change the profit.
