Recently I added Sumuka, Accelya Solutions and Intence tech in Micro cap and
Dr Reddy, Blue star and Godfrey philips in large cap space.
Rational for buying were-
Sumuka agro – I prefer brand as they enjoy name in market and can charge premium for their name. Sumuka has a gujjubhai namkeen brand under its umbrella which looks promising seeing its result and profit margin.
Accelya solution- company has recently came to my notice after parag parikh bought some minor stake. After detail research I found out that company holds significat market share in airlines and cargo industries and enjoy highest margin in insdustries.
Intence tech- Company has been in this domain since long but it is only recently they have developed a product which is accepted by market [telecom sector] and they are now looking to increase the product mix from existing clients. promoter has recently bought some stake which looks it is a right time to enter.
Dr Redyy – only Large cap pharma avaialble at this low PE. Company focus and numbers looks promising from here on.
Bluestar and Godfrey philis- It is after many years I have seen blue star this focused and determined I know this compnay they had a image in market of less aggressive but it seems they are moving towards strategically aggresive. Godfrey philips being a cigrate company expanding in Consumer products and i like their product mix
Ambika Cotton Mills (13-02-2024)
It is not about hedging cotton. It is a mindset. They operate on pull model, do not dilute their brand and sit on Inventory during downtimes. They sell only on certain profitability even if it comes at the cost of holding inventory.
Ujjivan Financial – Small Finance Bank (13-02-2024)
In Feb 2020, the share price of ujjivan small finance Bank was around 56. After 4 years and 3 fold growth in revenue and profit the share price is still the same at 56. What should be it’s fair value in these market conditions, given that PSU banks have much higher P/E ratio?
Indian Hotels–for long term portfolio stability (13-02-2024)
Some more from an ET report quoting Ms.Deepika Rao, EVP New businesses and Hotel Openings:
-
Ginger: Planning to have a presence in all 800 districts of the country. By FY26, Ginger would become a 125-hotel portfolio. The expansion is based on the asset light model. Typically, large box projects consisting of 300 plus rooms are based on a management contract model, while the smaller ones with up to 80 rooms are taken on a lease of up to 30 years. About 30% of Ginger hotels are managed, while the rest are either owned or leased. The number of rooms in Ginger hotels vary from 80 to 300 plus. Ginger will continue to grow at 30 %. Ginger has all day dining under QMin brand. Almost 50 % of the Qmin’s Rs.100 crore revenue will come from Ginger hotels.
-
TajSATS: Its share in IHCL’s topline will increase from 11 % to 25 % in the next few years. Expected to clock a revenue of Rs 1,000 crore in FY25 against Rs 650 crore in 12 months ended January. Qmin will be used for TajSATS’ institutional catering. Has also got into QSR space with Chhayos and Starbucks as customers. Starbucks has close to 1000 outlets in the country.

Phantom Digital Effects Limited (13-02-2024)
The concall is scheduled for day after, so if anyone is attending it they can ask the same to the management.
Zen technologies – A micro cap in the defense space! (13-02-2024)
In my opinion
1- zen entered in anti drone in 2018, I don’t think they have some kind of edge in this sector, but company is winning orders from export so there might be something we don’t know (surely will be asking this question to management in upcoming concall)
2- remember management itself clearly stated that they are no 1 in simulator but in anti drone they are 4-5th in world, thats why OPM is less, but they are optimistic for 50/50 shares of order in simulation and ADS
3-Will not see any major order win for next 2-3 months but expecting huge orders in FY2025 ( not disclosed about order they quoted) last concall they mentioned me that have quoted for 500cr orders in H2 and there win rate was around 80-90% but reflected in single order of 42cr no clarification given my management to me.
4- We need at least 1300-1500cr of orders in Q1&Q2 of FY2025 then only we will see their PE around 70-80 otherwise we might see PE de rating irrespective of 900Cr of sales in FY2025 which they are guiding
