Let’s let time and the market prove either of us wrong. The credit score of the customer is not just CIBIL. It is also derived by paytm through proprietary algorithm such as what kind of bill payments is the customer doing or what phone the customer uses. Etc.

I still don’t get it. I think credit score can be fetched from cibil database. There are logistical challenges as well. Let’s say a merchant plan to stick to paytm. He still has to get a new QR. And if he has a PPB account linked, then he has to get a new bank account linked. Merchant may think that when I’m going through all this hassle, why not change the service provider as well in one go, especially in cases where a rival approaches the merchant and offers him some one time onboarding benefits like some cashback or fee waiver for certain period of time.

Maybe it is good that Paytm has to sever its ties from Paytm Payments Bank. Investors need not worry about conflict of interest in related party transactions. Right?
Paytm claimed that there were cost advantages. However, considering Payments Bank is a separate entity, and it had its own profit motivations, the cost advantage shouldn’t be significant. I think management is also saying the same.

HCC chart update. HCC stock price closed this week above 45 ( a 6 year high) with a big bullish weekly candle and correspondingly huge volumes. An important resistance at 45 has been crossed and next level to watch out would be 49. If and when it goes above 49, stock price would break out above 13 year highs. disc: invested.

Thomas Cook
After forming VCP pattern on the daily chart, the stock has moved higher on account of higher volumes. This price action is supported by very good quarterly figures. In the mid january, previous high was recorded around 176 (see point A), post which the stock pullled back a bit, consolidated around it’s 21 MA and then headed higher registering another ATH (see point B).
