Any reference for Cost of Funds for JIO Fin. I am not able to get info related to that. Only one web article mentions that CoF will be lower than other NBFC [1]. Will they be substanially lower than Bajaj Fin ? Bajaj Fins is 7.61 in latest quarter.

Hi Donald,
These posts are so full of information! Thank you so much for putting the effort to share this with us. Just a question, what exactly would qualify as an ‘opportunistic’ investment? Could you give any example from recent history? Are these companies that don’t have much long term growth but are at a low valuation? Or are they the ‘net nets’ that Warren Buffett invested in early in his career?

Rajesh Exports: Time to examine this story seriously? (24-08-2023)
Hi @Donald ,
I have a few concerns regarding the company and would like your views on them if you are still following the company.
#1. Promoter promises but doesn’t deliver repeatedly. Ex: They were saying in 2005 they will increase margins, also in 2010, also in 2015 and so on. But Margins have fallen from 2.5 % in 2010 to less than 1 % now!!
#2. 0.2% dividend yield (5% of profits, and profits are not increasing yoy for many years now!!).
#3. Tax rate of 3% (biggest issue for me, I want to understand this point specifically). Has fallen from 8-9% in 2010 to 3 percent now!!
Point #3 is my biggest concern and I couldnt find any reason for it.
If anyone else has any views (or any facts which would be even better), please add to the dicussion.

To be selected for PLI scheme for battery looks like a piece of good news to me although its diversification in unrelated business. Fundamentally its the cheapest it has been in past 8 years, but my issues with the company remains same –
