Neuland Laboratories Limited – Transformation towards niche APIs? (27-09-2024)
I think the Neuland management may be able to add more color on the possible impact of this FDA approval. I anticipate a lot of questions on this topic from the investing community to the management team.
As the FDA approval was not a guarantee and if this approval leads to significant Rev uptick for Neuland over the next couple of years then I believe the stock may continue to re-rate. As long as they can continue to grow their Earnings substantially YoY the re-rating will continue to take place.
Buy Unlisted Shares (27-09-2024)
Hi everyone,
Is anyone studying the solar cell and panel manufacturing sector in India? This space looks promising, especially with the government’s push for renewable energy and policies like imposing heavy customs duties on imports from China, which could drive demand for locally manufactured solar cells.
I’m particularly interested in understanding how this sector might evolve in the long run, as the listed players seems a bit over-valued and also companies like Vikram Solar, and Waaree Energies in the unlisted market are getting 50-55 PE multiples. For instance, I’ve been looking into Jupiter Solar and its prospects, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on other noteworthy companies, whether listed or unlisted, that have strong potential in this booming industry.
Thanks!

B C C Fuba India Ltd: PCB Manufacturing Nanocap (27-09-2024)
thanks for the insights, sir!
I believe that since Indian PCB manufacturers aren’t currently keeping pace with EMS demand, companies like B C C Fuba, which have established capabilities, could benefit from the supply gap by ramping up production. The reliance on imports from China creates a space for domestic manufacturers to grow if they can scale efficiently.
The gradual shift toward local PCB manufacturing, aided by government incentives, suggests a positive medium-term outlook. If B C C Fuba continues to invest in increasing capacity and modernizing its processes, it could capture a larger share of the growing demand, especially as EMS companies develop further capabilities and shift to local sourcing.
Indotech – A turnaround story? (27-09-2024)
One reason could be that there was an issue of importing electrical steel… i.e. CRGO coils the main component in transformers… so margin can hit but as per concall of Apar industries 2-3 quarters back the Transformar companies are booked for next 3 years
HBL Power: Signs of change (27-09-2024)
HBL AGM 2024 snippets.
Few points from Hbl AGM
- Change of name because it embodies future expansion like EV trucks;
Management has given guidance of 30% in FY 26 growth over FY 25 numbers but if forced to reveal, they will surpass this guidance.
-
No plan to do anything with Tonbo investment. It should list in early 2027. Hopefully will reap benefits then;
-
In terms of capacities, while Hbl can scale whenever it wants, currently it can do 2000 km/year of TCAS on tracks and 3000 loco/year. TCAS is a huge opportunity;
-
Hbl is the only company which has completely indigenous TCAS system;
-
Lot of scope of batteries (other than lead). Eg., Siemens wants Hbl to manufacture Lithium batteries for them. Traction in defence batteries remains strong.
-
Kavack 4.0 and 3.2 are not inter operable…Railways have to think about that; I got a sense that the recently tested Kavach 4.0 in presence of railway minister was HBL product.
-
Demand is huge but execution is slow because of lack of trained officers;
-
TMS will grow slowly;
-
Mgmt is nurturing high hopes on EV truck with in-house Electric Drive Train. Confident of sharing a prototype in January 2025 and production form Oct-Nov 2025;
-
Co has no plans to become big mass producer of trucks but a niche player producing…say 1000 trucks a year at a price of Rs 1 cr/truck (may not be immediately but eventually) with good margins. Thus WC will not be an issue;
-
Retrofitting old trucks with its E Drive train is not feasible cause trucks are old and run down;
-
Regarding defence products, co wants to focus on exports and not so much on indian defence. There is huge demand for fuses in variety of products.
Managment has committed to think about increasing dividend payout ratio in view of expected higher profits over the years.
