Sugar Cycles: 7-8 years of losses followed by 2-3 years of super gains! (10-09-2024)
Totally agree on your observation
Bagasse and Steam … already discussed another aspect is Sugar recovery
The sugar recovery rates in the country are low when compared to many other sugar-growing countries.
Every 10-bps improvement adds 2-4% PAT without incremental Capex.

Identifying multi baggers (09-09-2024)
Hello folks,
I am pretty much new to investing, so please bear with me if my questions sound too naive.
I was doing some research on how to identify fundamentally good stocks.
I have gone through a couple of books, tried investing on my own. Still waiting for results.
I realise that not every fundamentally good stock would be a multi bagger.
So, how can I identify multi bagger stocks ?
This question keeps baffling me but I have to get a solid answer yet on this.
Hope this forum helps out here.
Bajaj Housing Finance IPO (09-09-2024)
Hello folks,
I am utterly new to investing so please bear with me if my doubts sound too naive.
I heard about Bajaj Housing Finance IPO yesterday and was just looking at its financials on Screener.
It seems to have a significant amount of debt of around 73000 Crores but it seems to be generating profits steadily.
Would this be a good place to invest ? What would you recommend ?

What’s the rationale behind investing in JGChem.

Antony Waste – Long Term (09-09-2024)
Diesel for C&T is one of their biggest expense. They also have a heavy book from all the vehicles.
There was a default of payments from Mangalore MC, I couldn’t find much reports except AWHCL sending them a notice.
Not exactly a monopoly, but large a contractor. There are smaller players, all aren’t listed.
Safe – pollution laws can be tricky and they are making major investments in the Kanjurmarg plant. That could lead to growth from biomining and power generation.
My biggest concern is being B2G and the related problems that come with it. They do have a contract with one FMCG for EPR though. More businesses could branch out to contribution to profitability.

Mudit’s Portfolio (Stage Analysis + Price Momentum) (09-09-2024)
I have not read any prospectus, so I don’t know what funds in India are doing. I was thinking in terms of their size. And, it is possible that, if they have allowed themselves some leeway in writing, it allows them to modify their allocation to stocks, as they too will lose along with us in a market crash. Not to mention the fact that, not all the investors will stay for periods of non-performance, as that is not part of their plan, nor they can afford.
My non conducive statement is also in relation to this. If there is no liquidity, no exuberance, and if prices fall, the past high returns generated with momentum cannot be repeated. Of course, the performance will be relatively better, as the cash component increases. I have experienced this.
What I think of momentum, what you are doing, what @visuarchie is doing, are different. And, I am very much interested to learn about the ways to do this, and share my two cents.
