Particularly keen on VRL Logistics (how do u envisage its prospects with GST still a distant dream..), Omkar Speciality and Garware Wall Ropes
Rest could be good calculated bets. If i had to replicate ur investment themes apart from the rest maybe would have chosen Navkar Corp, Astec Lifesciences, Jubilant Lifesciences and Welspun India/ Kitex

Posting after sometime.Holding on to most of the stocks except for Astral on which I fully booked the profit recently.

Nearly 75-80% of portfolio is in stocks comprising of Avanti,Shilpa,TCS,Mayur,Repco,Aurobindo,Ajanta,PI,Page,Premco,OCCL,CCL,Kaveri.These are compounders & constitute my core PF IMO.
I hv been trying to invest in quality smallcaps which hv low mktcap vs opp size and can thus be a multibagger hence boosting the PF.
God has been kind & with help of friends here and over last few years these smallcaps invested earlier like Avanti,PFS,Premco,OCCL has given good return. Lets see how this year investment in these smallcaps work out.

Thanks…yes i did look at NCL, Your hypothesis is right. I am optimistic on cement space in general. I was looking at cement companies from that region due to lot of infra work will come due to split in Andhra Pradesh.

Had a look at this company ..the story seems to be going good.. but few questions come to mind..
1.. their biggest vertical and the one showing most growth is IGTB( transaction banking) and the reason is the market itself is expanding , Banks are spending more on transaction banking suites.
My understanding is they are integrating their IGTB product with banks incumbent core banking systems( correct me if i am worng)
What is stopping other well placed competitors( Infosys,TCS,Temenos,etc) from developing similar offerings?
And how well they are placed against their top competitors in this space :ACI ,Fundtech,Bottomline ??
2.The core banking software market seems to be mature, with lot of well entrenched competitors. And intellect’s product at the best is Top 5.

3. Inusrance and RTM products yet to gain traction .
So how confident are we that the growth will come for 4-5 years.? for a shorter time frame 3-4 quarters , i think they have lot of deals in pipeline which will give growth.
So it seems that the “mutual understanding” is still intact. Whether they can maintain this for a year or two remains to be seen.

@manish26 – I had a quick look at Anjani Portland Cements. Anjani a subsidiary of Chettinad cements has a 1.2 MT capacity. They are also a south based company. This must also benefit from the increased demand and stable prices from this region. However, their leverage is much higher vis-a-vis NCL. Their total debt stands at 190 crores. Also their EV/Tonne is slightly higher at ~56$ vs NCL’s 35$.
Both these companies will be subjected to the same risks(Price & Demand) as I have mentioned in my previous posts.
This is based on a quick look at Anjani. Please let me know if I have missed out something.

The vannamei shrimp raw material prices in India’s main production region Andhra Pradesh are moving up fast, due to weak landings in the main production areas, sources told Undercurrent News.
According to sources, the price is likely to move up further.
Production is “very bad”, one Andhra Pradesh-based packer and farmer told Undercurrent.
This is because stocking was low by farmers from May onward, due to production problems and the price drop, he said.
Going by the above article, price of shrimps rising due to less shrimp production this season. Would be interesting to compare this against Avanti’s feed sales numbers.
