HUL gives in-principle nod to demerger of ice-cream business into separate listed entity (25-11-2024)
Hindustan Unilever’s board has granted preliminary approval to spin off its ice cream business into a separate publicly listed company. Shareholders will receive stock in the new entity proportional to their existing HUL holdings. The move aims to unlock value and provide the ice cream business with greater strategic flexibility.

Basically they have orders worth more than 900 crores and they have capacity to increase production multifold without capex unless they go into larger products . There is clear chance of operating leverage playing out over next few quarters . The company is old and well known and their guidance is usually accurate .
There is of-course the possibility that market has priced it in …but I bought at 1000 and generally during a time when lots of Smallcaps had retraced a lot ,this one did not ,showing relative strength .
