Medanta signs O&M agreement for 750 bed hospital in Pitampura, New Delhi (06-11-2024)
Global Health announced that the Company has signed an Operations and Management Agreement with Dr. Narayan Dutt Shirmali Foundation International Charitable Trust Society (Society) to operate and manage a ~750 bed super specialty hospital in Pitampura, New Delhi. The Board of Directors of Navam Lanka, Sri Lanka, a step-down subsidiary of the company in which Gravita Group through Gravita Netherlands B.V. is holding 52% of its share capital (herein after NLL ) has completed the repurchase/buyback of 2,29,087 shares from its existing shareholders representing 25.56% of its total stated capital. The price per share for buyback was LKR 3,530 per share and total buyback value is approx. Rs 23.00 crore which will be paid to shareholders from the reserves and surplus of Navam Lanka.

The price of bitcoin hit a new high on Wednesday as investors bet that former President Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election will be a boon for cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin jumped nearly 8% to a record $75,345 in early trading, before falling back to about $73,500.
Trump was previously a crypto sceptic but changed his mind and took a favourable view of cryptocurrencies ahead of the election.
He pledged to make America “the crypto capital of the planet” and create a strategic reserve of bitcoin. His campaign accepted donations in cryptocurrency and he courted crypto fans at a bitcoin conference in July. He also launched World Liberty Financial, a new venture with family members to trade cryptocurrencies.

INR crashes beyond 84.30 per US dollar (06-11-2024)
Indian Rupee slumped today as a slide above 84 per US dollar mark extended following heavy surge in the US dollar index. Dollar index spiked to 105 mark, hitting highest in four months as preliminary numbers showed Republican candidate Donald Trump winning the presidential race. INR recorded one of the worst daily outings and lost 22 paise to test a record low of 84.31 per US dollar. Meanwhile, local equities spiked on firm global cues. The S&P BSE Sensex surged 901.50 points or 1.13% to 80,378.13. The Nifty 50 index jumped 270.75 points or 1.12% to 24,484.05.
