At closing bell, the Straits Times Index (STI) index was down 2.40 points, or 0.07% to 3,217.97 after trading between 3,205.27 and 3,223.12. Volume of 1.50 billion shares worth S$1.09 billion changed hands. Across the broader market, decliners outpaced advancers 301 to 250.
Hong Kong Market tumbles on downbeat earnings (22-03-2024)
At closing bell, the benchmark Hang Seng Index tumbled 363.63 points, or 2.16%, to 16,499.47. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index dropped 147.60 points, or 2.5%, to 5,757.67.
China Market ends lower on weakening renminbi (22-03-2024)
At close of trade, the benchmark Shanghai Composite index was down 0.94%, or 29.08 points, to 3,048.03. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, dropped 1.22%, or 22.01 points, to 1,782.30. The blue-chip CSI300 index sank 1.01%, or 36.09 points, to 3,545.
