Pound Speculators Reduce Net Long Position (15-04-2024)
Large currency speculators in the Pound futures decreased their net long positions, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Pound futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net long position of 28252 contracts in the data reported through April 09 2024. This was a weekly fall of 15162 net contracts.

Overall exports surpass last year’s highest record in FY24 at USD 776.68 Billion (15-04-2024)
Ministry of Commerce & Industry stated in a latest update today that India's overall export (Merchandise and Services combined) in March 2024 is estimated to be USD 70.21 Billion, exhibiting a negative growth of (-) 3.01 per cent over March 2023. Overall import in March 2024 is estimated to be USD 73.12 Billion, exhibiting a negative growth of (-) 6.11 per cent over March 2023. India's overall exports (Merchandise and Services combined) in FY 2023-24 (April-March) are estimated to be USD 776.68 Billion, exhibiting a positive growth of 0.04 per cent over FY 2022-23 (April-March). Overall imports in FY 2023-24 (April-March) are estimated to be USD 854.80 Billion, exhibiting a negative growth of (-) 4.81 per cent over FY 2022-23 (April-March).
Sebi to auction 22 properties of Rose Valley on May 20 to recover money (15-04-2024)
Markets regulator Sebi on Monday said it will auction 22 properties of Rose Valley Group of companies on May 20 at a reserve price totalling Rs 8.6 crore in a bid to recover money raised by the firm from the public through illicit schemes.
The properties to go under the hammer include flats and office spaces located in West Bengal, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) said in a notice.
The e-auction will be conducted on May 20 between 11 am and 1 pm. The total reserve price of these properties is pegged at Rs 8.6 crore, it added.
The markets regulator said it has engaged Quikr Realty to assist it in the sale of the properties.
A committee would oversee sale of the assets and the money will be utilized for repaying the investors. The committee was formed following an order passed by Calcutta High Court in May 2015.
