Flour millers urge Govt to sell wheat in open market to ease prices (02-08-2022)
Millers across the country have said there is a sharp rise in prices in the past 2 weeks. The price of milling wheat in Mumbai has increased by ₹2.5-3/kg during the past 10-15 days touching ₹26/kg. Sanjay Jain Paharia, a wheat exporter from North India, said wheat prices have increased by ₹2/kg to hit ₹25/kg at Kandla.

DBS India profit falls as LVB acquisition cost bites, trading income weakens (02-08-2022)
Net profit fell to Rs 167 crore in the fiscal ended March 2022 from Rs 312 crore a year earlier mainly due to a 54% increase in operating expenses to Rs 2652 crore from Rs 1719 crore a year earlier. The bank put the "annual pre-tax" drag from the LVB acquisition at Rs 669 crore in fiscal ended up from Rs 341 crore as the majority of the impact was felt in fiscal 2022.
