In CY2015, many of the pharma shares surged steeply on the bourses. However, the large acquisition and mergers by Sun Pharma decelerated the speed of growth and shares of the company failed to record gains. In fact they tumbled by 8.68% (YTD) in CY2015 at a time when the BSE Healthcare index soared by 11.25%.
