Central govt might be using the iex as a political tool. Why because earlier it was reported that Telangana has dues of 1360 cr and today it’s reported that Telangana has dues of only 52 crores. Telangana is ruled by TRS which is oppostion to BJP. There is alot to suspect the political witch hunt because this is the time agricultural activities pick up steem in Telangana and there is alot of demand for electricity. Now the state is banned by exaggerating dues.
These sort of actions will make the states wary of depending IEX for their power needs. They will look to diversify their sources of electricity. It’s a long-term negative for the business. I’m not taking any sides here. Just expressed my views.
