Sensex jumps over 550 points as crude prices ease; Nifty above 17,700
Among Sensex stocks, Asian Paints rose 2.27 per cent to Rs 3,476.50. Tech Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, UltraTech Cement and ICICI Bank up 1.96 per cent, 1.64 per cent, 1.35 per cent and 1.30 per cent, respectively. M&M, Infosys and Wipro surged 1.19 per cent, 1.14 per cent and 1.09 per cent, respectively.
