Below article highlights commissions received by MF distributors. Clearly shows how SBI MF was able to ramp up their AUM so much due to parent SBI network strength. SBI received 5 times the commission from SBI MF than what HDFC bank received from HDFC AMC.
I hope HDFC group would be doing this now due to merger and AMC becoming a direct subsidiary of HDFC Bank
