I did a financial modelling course recently where I made this 3 STATEMENT FINANCIAL MODEL. I would like to share the excel with you. But before sharing let me brief you as to how you have to use it.
There are total five broad groups in this model. Now what you need to do is fill all the historical data for three years which is 2022A,2023A,2024A. If you want to change the years just change the first one.
Please fill three years historical data in INCOME STATEMENT, BALANCE SHEET, CASH FLOW STATEMENT. Please note that you need to enter value only where the FONT is BLUE don’t mess with the cells with BLACK font (COLOUR of the TEXT in each cell). Once you fill up 3yrs historical data then you will have to fill the ASSUMPTIONS AND DRIVERS.
How can you fill this part?
Just go through management commentary in annual report where they mention their growth outlook. You can google a little bit on the industry growth prospects to fill the assumptions. You can either continue with the same growth for the last 3yrs or take an average growth for the last 3 yrs.
One last thing. On the top left below PASTE and cell reference there are two numbers 1&2. So 2 is used to open up all rows and 1 is used to close it. You can individually open each group by clicking on the + sign.
