As per G Maran of Unified Capital; before 2010 – investor was mostly from large / metro cities hence HDFC AMC was infocus and gaining market share. Post 2010 as MF investment got popular, SBI took lead in tier 2 / 3 / 4 cities hence their market share got increased and same is visible in numbers put by @Pratik_Shetty.
