The BSE Sensex opened at 25,707, touched an intra-day low of 25,531, and finally ended with gains of 246 points at 25,857. The NSE Nifty opened negative at 7,729 hitting a low of 7,679 before signing off with a gain of 83 points or 1.06% at 7,872.
