Worst behind for FMCG cos, but earnings recovery to be gradual, says Abneesh Roy, Edelweiss Securities
The provisional updates on the September quarter performance by FMCG companies did not surprise Roy and he said that the impact of a rural slowdown was expected in Q2 as well.However, he expects a recovery in rural demand in H2 because of the base effect and due to good monsoons in most parts of the country.
