The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty opened on a positive note on Wednesday tracking strong global cues. At 9.20 am, Sensex was up 194.14 points at 25,900.07. Similarly, Nifty was up 45.80 points at 7,874.90 during the same time.

Nalco: The Centre on Tuesday allocated Utkal D and E coal blocks to the company, which has already set up a 4.6 lakh tonne smelter and 1,200 MW Captive Power Plant in Odisha’s Angul district.
Sun Pharma: The drug major is reportedly is in race to acquire US-based eye care firm InSite Vision Inc at a price of $0.35 per share.
Indian Oil Corporation: The state-run company will more than treble its capex to Rs 1.75 trillion over the next seven years against what it spent in the past five years, with a view to expand refining output by 54 per cent to around 100 mt tonnes, investing Rs 50,000 crore in brownfield expansion alone.
Tata Motors: Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) CEO Ralf Speth said on Tuesday that the company has no plans to set up a manufacturing facility in India to make premium cars as the country currently is not a market for them.
Vedanta: The stocks of metals and mining conglomerate will be in focus as the company said it has received go-ahead from both bourses BSE and NSE on the proposed merger of its oil and hydrocarbon arm Cairn India with itself.
