The market continues to trade on a gung-ho note, on the back of strong gains in – realty, energy, pharma, IT and consumer durables shares.
The BSE benchmark index rallied to a high of 26,170. Now, the 30-shares, Sensex, is up 341 points at 26,056.
The NSE Nifty also jumped to a high at 7,931, and is now quoted at 7,905 – up 113 points.
In broader market is out-performing the BSE headline index, the Midcap has gained over 1.7 percent at 10,656 and the Smallcap index has advanced 2 percent at 10,925.All sectoral indices are trading in green, the BSE Realty, Oil & Gas and Healthcare indices have jumped over 2 percent each at 1,262, 8,716 and 17,566, respectively.
