I have been using services of few equity advisors since 2012, and have mainly used only one of them for 10 years and discarded others.
They generally recommend too many stocks so I use my own filters, process, allocation guidelines, to remove many of those and invest based on my own risk taking ability and conviction. This process consumes lot of time, so have been thinking of re-looking at this approach.
I am a Freelancer so do have some bandwidth for study and analysis of stocks but I do not have understanding of all sectors and confidence; hence using equity advisor for 10 years.
I am interested in knowing if any one using such services in the past has completely moved away from such advisors and have started investing on their own, so that I can also learn from their experience.
