Investing Basics – Feel free to ask the most basic questions

Hi, can someone point me to a thread here or some resource outside on following:

I need to understand practical side of metrics like ROA, ROCA, ROE, BV, EV/EBITA, SALE/MCAP and other such terms. I do understand these in a very basic way.

Certain metrics are important in certain sectors and not others, i need to understand what to look for when evaluating a stock from a particular sector.

A simple chart may help.

Question 2:

In screener.in, there are 5 screens listed on very first screen page which are about latest results.
What is the difference between them?

Two of them are QoQ and YoY results, one lists all quarterly results.

What do the other two screens do? I am talking about best of latest quarter and the bull cartel? Am i correct in thinking that they are about ROCE and ROE respectively?

Asking this because saw Vedanta listed at No.5 in best of latest quarterly results, the Q2 NP is negative YOY and QoQ so why is it there?
