On a more serious note, it really doesn’t matter who is promoting IDA, or who is not. This is a thread with 450+ comments on the business that IDA is trying to establish. From all accounts, its competing competently with Temenos and a bunch of other established competition. Yep, its a business, and running a profitable, growing, global business is a hard deal, and its gonna have its ups and downs. If its so easy, you go and setup one – show us how its done.
A great deal of information, nuance and detail is embedded in all of those comments above, all of which are supposed to help you form your own opinion about the firm and decide your individual actions with regards to the same, especially given the ups and downs of business. Additionally we are in a really really complex global situation. The world is coming out of Covid (not there yet); leading economies of the world have their own problems – US has their inflation;, China has pollution control, CCP politics, Covid and Taiwan; Europe has the Ukraine war and energy conundrum; there are major global geo-political shifts in play – from currency to bloc to interest rates to countries changing their operational style and approach to international relations (Saudi, Qatar, Turkey, Iran, Taiwan, Brazil, Israel). So yes, the business environment isn’t really the easiest time of the century. Amidst all of this, who is bullish on the same and who is bearish, is basically none of your concern. You read, you evaluate, and you take your call.
So kindly refrain from denigrating others view-points on the same.
And this is not just for this thread, but similar comments on a few other threads as well which I am seeing lately.
Apologies again, but I have personally gained a lot from reading various threads here on VP. and while I may not have agreed with many views, all of it has helped to refine my own thinking on how I deploy my own money (or not). And that is the purpose of vp.
