This to inform that Mr. Pramod N Karlekar, who joined Best Group on 22 July 2022 as Managing
Director of one of the wholly owned subsidiaries will now also be taking over the responsibilities
of leading R&D team, Product Development & Manufacturing Operations. Mr. Karlekar brings
substantial experience, wisdom & subject knowledge to enrich and accelerate the R & D initiatives
of the Company.
Brief profile of Mr. Pramod N Karlekar
(Mr. Pramod N Karlekar is a renowned technocrat in the chemical arena and an R&D expert with
over 35 years of rich experience in the agrochemical industry. He has held strategic leadership roles,
including as President of Technology at Rallis India Limited, as COO of Deepak Nitrite Ltd., as
Managing Director of Cheminova India Ltd from 2008 and subsequently as its President of the
international region comprising Asia-Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East. Further, post-global
acquisition of Cheminova by FMC Corp (USA), he assumed the position of the country head for
FMC India.)
We wish to further inform about exit of Mr. Ajit Gujral from Best Group due to personal reasons, as
he moves back to Mumbai from Delhi. We wish him the best in his new assignment and thank him
for his contribution. His role and responsibilities have been completely taken over by Mr. Pramod
N Karlekar.

team.
- Mr. Anil Gupta has joined as Plant Head for Technical Unit. He has Master’s degree in
Chemistry, is a Gold Medallist from Kurukshetra University and is Six Sigma black belt certified. He
has more than 39 years of experience with different national and multinational companies like Rallis
India, Dow Chemicals and Pfizer.
Mr. Yashwant Dharap has joined as Head – Research and Development for Technical
Synthesis. He comes with over 35 years of rich experience in the field of Synthetic Organic
Chemistry, Organometallic Chemistry, process development chemistry and scale-ups. In his previous
assignment, he was associated with reputed organisations such as Gharda Chemicals Ltd.
- Dr. Rajesh Bhatia has joined as a Government & Institutional Business – Lead. With a doctorate
in agronomy, he has over 21 years of extensive experience in Sales, Institutional Business,
Distribution, and Channel Management. He has worked with reputed organisations such
as Monsanto India Limited, Syngenta India Limited, and Devgen Seeds and Technology Private
Limited. BAL has recently launched two new formulations of CTPR with an extensive scope in
Government and institutional business. With this view, such a strategic position is critical to bring a
big chunk of business into this segment and further accelerate the company’s growth.
