For the space tech start up, a friend who manages the private equity investments of a large family office was investing, and I tagged along. The company is called Agnikul Cosmos, do check it out – they’re doing awesome work to take small satellites to space in a fast and cost efficient manner. Their first launch will hopefully be later this month.
The other two are seed rounds and I know the entrepreneurs personally. The thesis is a combination of liking the space, and much more importantly, liking the entrepreneurs.
I have tried platforms like IPV Ventures and Venture Catalysts, but haven’t been able to build conviction to invest basis a 30 minute pitch call. Ticket sizes are usually minimum 2.5 to 5 lakhs on these platforms.
