VLS has an investment portfolio of more than Rs. 3,000 crore. It can potentially use 5% or Rs. 150 crore to buy back 25% of its own shares. Book value will thus increase from ~Rs. 750 per share to ~Rs. 950 per share. Promoter holding will increase significantly.
