Bharti Airtel (4.1 percent), Tata Steel (3.9 percent), BHEL (3.6 percent) and Coal India (2.9 percent) were the top gainers in Nifty. Among the losers, SBI, Axis Bank and Vedanta fell more than 2 percent.
