I have a few questions if somebody could please answer them.
Is there enough capacity to install wind turbines and reach our target of 140GW.
-
As per NIWE(National Institute of Wind Energy) there is a total onshore wind potential of 695GW at 120m hub height but the catch here is sites where the CUF is more than 35% has only 57GW of capacity and close to 327GW of capacity is having a CUF of 25% to 28% which is very low.
Most of the capacity is in GUJRATH and TAMILNADU so is the government imitative for good amount of development in other states good?

The government has a target of 30GW of offshore installation out of the 140GW target. If there is enough onshore capacity then why keep an offshore target. We should be using the onshore capacity first.

One of the major reasons for price declining after the introduction of EREVERSE auction was that since there were good wind blowing sites the developers had enough margins to agree on low prices but after 2018-2019 the prices became sticky and developers margins were shrinking resulting to failure of the Ereverse auction. Again this shows that those kind of wind sites are not available now.

Every year we are having a lot of backlog, to reach the target of 140 we have to go at a run rate of 10GW++ per year and if this has to be done then we have to see the execution of these orders and new orders coming up aggressively. Government is taking steps but the execution is missing. So how what is the realistic installation we can look till 2030.
( The reason for backlog is not signing PPA because after signing PPA there is a timeline for 24months for completion. So developers first want to arrange everything (land, grid, price) and then sign PPA). -
State government is not showing any interest most of the states are hardly meeting the RPO obligation. Why is this happening? What is the problem?
This is for 2019-2020 but currently also this how the trend is I don’t have a pictorial representation of that data hence not shared
Summing up all the above questions now that low traffic problem is solved, land policies have been streamlined, Grid connectivity is being addressed , Demand is there so if everything is fine why is the execution not happing. What is stopping them.
@ganeshrpl @amey153 @Patel_Bhai if you could add some light here because if installation is not going to happen then OEM is not going to grow. Would be very helpful for me if you can share your thought
