Metal stocks: Star performers of last year, worst this year. Will the trend reverse?
Most companies in the metal space have either reported a fall in net profits or posted losses in the October-December period. Tata Steel reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 2,224 crore for the December quarter, while State-owned SAIL’s net profit fell 65% to Rs 542 crore.
