Banks expect a spike in overnight call money rates
Last week, overnight interbank call money rates jumped to 6.80%, higher than the marginal standard facility (MSF) rate of 6.75% at the upper band of the interest-rate corridor, pointing to the likely direction in rates toward month-end.
