The BSE Sensex opened at 26,379, touched an intra-day high of 26,809 and low of 26,375 respectively, and finally ended with a gain of 565 points at 26,789. Gainers were seen in banking, capital goods, consumer durables, auto, metal and oil & gas stocks.
