Victory of people, judiciary: BJP on court rejecting Rahul Gandhi’s plea in criminal defamation case
The BJP has hailed the Surat court’s decision to reject Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s plea for a stay on his conviction in a criminal defamation case as a “victory” for the judiciary and people. The court of additional sessions judge R P Mogera turned down Gandhi’s application for a stay on his conviction, which, if granted, could have led to his reinstatement as a Member of Parliament.
