Amit Shah backs K’taka govt plan to scrap Muslim quota, calls it unconstitutional
Last month, before the Election Commission declared the Model Code of Conduct, the BJP government had proposed to provide 2% reservation each to both the communities after scrapping the 4% reservation given to Muslims under the OBC quota. The move was contested in the Supreme Court and is now on hold.
