Manipur government prohibits large gatherings, suspends internet services in 2 districts after violence erupts
The order stated “total shutdown called by the Indigenous Tribal Leaders’ Forum and the likelihood of mobilization of the public through social media and networking sites” for the suspension of mobile internet services. Apart from Churachandpur, mobile internet services have also been suspended in Pherzawl district for five days.
