Speculations are rife that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad will attempt to forge a unity of opposition parties to challenge the BJP in the next Lok Sabha election. The two had a half-hour meeting when Prasad visited his home town after a seven-month hiatus during which he had a kidney transplant in Singapore. The men once fought bitterly but have also been political allies since the 1970s.
