The Congress party’s manifesto for the Karnataka election does not commit to banning organizations such as the Bajrang Dal, P Chidambaram, senior Congress leader, said on Sunday. The manifesto promises “decisive action” under the law as a warning to groups that propagate hate speech. Chidambaram hit back at allegations made by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) about banning the group, which the Congress states “use extreme language and indulge in extreme actions.”
