Indian shares gained amid corporate earnings and ahead of U.S. inflation data, with the Nifty50 closing 0.27% higher at 18,315.10 and S&P BSE Sensex 0.29% higher at 61,940.20. High-weightage financials led to gains in the Nifty, helping it end 0.32% higher. The fast-moving consumer goods index gained over 0.5%. Wall Street rose Wednesday after inflation data showed signs of easing, with the S&P 500 0.3% higher in early trading. European shares fell ahead of U.S. inflation data. Momentum indicator MACD showed bullish trade on IndusInd Bank, BLS International, ICICI Prudential Life, among others.
